bassist John Zuck
in The Underground Local Talent Series #5 on November 19th!!

Anna & the Consequences invite undiscovered, unknown and underappreciated talent from Columbus to perform with them and/or play a set of their own in this SIX (6) part monthly series called The Underground Local Talent Series.

ZuckPart FIVE (5) on Tuesday November 19th showcases local bassist and funk legend, John Zuck. Don’t miss this exclusive evening as John introduces you to his rarely performed original SOLO bass work!! While utilizing a few effects he loops his remarkably distinctive bass grooves, creating an extraordinary, funky atmosphere of sound. As he says, “Think outside the bass!”

Decades of countless gigs, bands and genres helped to shape his unique playing style: melodic but aggressive. Zuck started playing bass in November of 1988. Surrounded by the paint thinner soaked walls of Columbus College of Art and Design he formed ISHKABIBBLE with art school chums, performing driving original funk rock. Having played drums and guitar while in high school, he took to the bass like a baby to mother’s milk. John has had the pleasure of being a semi-regular bassist with O.A.R. in 2008-9 as well as sharing billing with 311, Social Distortion, Gretchen Wilson and Charlie Hunter, to name a few. This last year has seen him start his own group, Zuck’s Turkey Farm (http://www.facebook.com/ZucksTurkeyFarm), music he calls spunk rock! Some of his other current projects include work with Mike Perkins, Fletch, Chaminade Fight Club.

Tickets are $5 in advance $7 day of show, music is 8-10pm.
RSVP recommended!
Go online or call immediately as the venue is small and seating is limited.
